Accounting and Payroll clerk

Job summary: under the general direction of the Senior Accountant the accounting and payroll clerk will be responsible for the accuracy, quality, integrity and timeliness of all accounting information and preparation of payroll.


Education and experience:

  • Must attain at least Certified Accounting Technician Certification (CAT) or Diploma in Business Administration
  • At least 3 yrs working experience in accounting environment
  • Previous experience in initiating and maintaining accounting ledger
  • Previous experience in maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating and entering data


The ideal candidate should:

  • Be organized, analytical and have the ability to work on own initiative
  • Experience and has the ability to work well under pressure and meet rigid deadlines
  • Have working knowledge of Peachtree software for both accounting and payroll purpose
  • Have sound knowledge of payroll rates, security rates and benefits
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written
